The Caterpillar CAT 3412 Fuel Injector 179-9380 is a precision-engineered diesel injector assembly designed as a direct OE replacement for the Caterpillar 3412 engine series, including 3412, 3412B, 3412C, and 3412D variants. It is compatible with the Caterpillar 3412 Marine Engine, Caterpillar 3412 Generator Engine, and Caterpillar 3412 Industrial Power Unit, making it a versatile solution for demanding applications. Manufactured to OEM specifications, the injector ensures consistent fuel delivery and reliable operation across generator sets, marine vessels, mining trucks, industrial power systems, oilfield equipment, construction machinery, and emergency backup power units.

This injector assembly features a precision-machined nozzle with OEM calibrated fuel flow rates, providing high-pressure fuel system compatibility and precise fuel atomization for improved combustion efficiency. Corrosion-resistant internal components enhance long-term durability, while the optimized spray pattern supports reduced fuel consumption, lower exhaust emissions, increased engine power output, and reduced engine vibration. Improved cold-start performance and extended engine service life make this injector suitable for continuous operation in heavy-duty industrial environments.

Routine maintenance of the 179-9380 injector includes fuel filter replacement, injector spray pattern inspection, fuel pressure testing, leak detection, and combustion performance analysis. Before installation, operators should clean fuel lines thoroughly, inspect the injector bore, replace any damaged seals, follow Caterpillar torque specifications, and perform a post-startup leak inspection. Authorized OE numbers for this product are 179-9380, 3412B, 3412C, and 3412D.
