The Caterpillar C9 diesel fuel injector, primary OE number 328-2576, is engineered as a direct OE replacement for the C9 8.8L inline 6-cylinder diesel engine. Built with precision-machined internal components and a high-pressure common rail design, this injector delivers accurate fuel metering, consistent atomization, and stable injection timing across the full operating range. It is purpose-matched to Caterpillar equipment platforms including 330D, 330D L, 336D, 336D L, 336D LN, and 973D, and supports petroleum package and petroleum transmission applications such as CX31-C9I, CX31-P600, TH31-E61, and TH31-C9I.

This injector carries broad interchange coverage with authorized cross numbers 387-9432, 293-4073, 20R-8065, 10R-7223, 148-012-0076, APP41328, AP63947, CA3282576, CA2934073, CA20R8065, and CA10R7223, giving distributors and fleet operators a single SKU that consolidates multiple catalog references. The heavy-duty construction withstands continuous duty cycles in excavators, crawler loaders, and industrial machinery, while global market recognition supports export distribution and aftermarket inventory planning.

For installation, technicians should verify the part number, connector shape, nozzle configuration, engine model, and machine serial number, clean the fuel system and injector seat, replace seals and washers, prime the system, and enter the correct trim code if required. Routine maintenance includes using clean diesel fuel, replacing fuel filters, draining the water separator, inspecting electrical connectors, monitoring engine oil condition, and performing return flow and diagnostic scans to sustain reliable engine output.
