Caterpillar original Caterpillar 222-5966 diesel fuel injector new injector original new injector

The Caterpillar 222-5966 fuel injector is an OEM replacement component engineered specifically for the CAT C9.3 diesel engine platform. Manufactured to original equipment specifications, this common rail injector delivers precise fuel atomization and stable injection pressure under demanding operating conditions. Precision-machined internal components ensure consistent metering accuracy, supporting optimized combustion efficiency and reliable cold-start performance across a wide range of ambient temperatures.

Designed for heavy-duty industrial applications, the 222-5966 injector is compatible with CAT 336 and 340 excavator series, wheel loaders, motor graders, soil compactors, diesel generator sets, and various mining and agricultural equipment powered by C9.3 engines. Its heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant construction provides excellent thermal stability and long operational lifespan under continuous heavy loads. The injector contributes to increased engine power output, reduced fuel consumption, lower exhaust emissions, and minimized engine noise levels.

Proper maintenance is essential to maximize injector service life. Operators should use ultra-clean diesel fuel, replace fuel filters at recommended intervals, avoid water contamination, monitor fuel system pressure, and conduct periodic injector diagnostics following Caterpillar maintenance schedules. Common diagnostic procedures include fuel pressure testing, ECM fault code reading, injector balance testing, return flow measurement, combustion analysis, and visual leak inspection.
