Caterpillar original 222-5961 Common Rail Diesel Fuel Injector for C7 C9 E324D E325D Excavator Replacement for OEM original new injector

Purpose-built for demanding diesel operations, the 222-5961 fuel injector GP delivers precision fuel metering and reliable atomization for C7 and C7.1 7.2L engine platforms. Engineered as an original-style OE replacement, this HEUI unit injector is a critical fuel system component supporting medium-duty trucks, buses, excavators, loaders, industrial power units, and diesel generator sets across global fleet and rebuild markets.

Operating within the HEUI (Hydraulically Actuated Electronically Controlled Unit Injector) architecture, the injector uses high-pressure engine oil to intensify injection pressure while the ECM controls injection timing and fuel quantity. This design supports stable idle, stronger acceleration, improved combustion efficiency, and reduced smoke output. The injector is available as new, remanufactured, rebuilt, or aftermarket replacement, and can be supplied individually or as a matched set of six, with reman options typically offered under a core return program. Extensive cross-reference coverage includes 10R4761, 10R4761R, 222-5959, 233-3536, 236-0973, 241-3238, 243-4502, 293-1408, 295-1408, 328-2583, 387-9430, 20R8057, EX634761, R-10R4761, and FS10R4761.

Before installation, confirm OE number, engine serial number, injector tag, and connector type. Replace all seals and O-rings, program the injector trim code into the ECM, prime the fuel system, and scan diagnostic codes. Routine maintenance including clean diesel, timely fuel and oil filter changes, and ECM diagnostics ensures long service life.
